The Aeolian Trip event organised by the Esn (Erasmus Student Network) sections of Messina and Palermo, in collaboration with Esn Catania, has come to an end on the island of Vulcano. Around 200 international students from all over Europe and beyond took part, who are undertaking a period of study in southern Italian universities.
During the trip, the participants were able to discover the beauty of the island and have fun, meeting students from different universities, thanks to the many leisure activities devised by the Organising Committee, including sports tournaments and kayaking excursions. On Sunday, they also took a mini one-day cruise to visit the islands of Panarea and Stromboli, a unique experience that culminated with the viewing of "la Sciara di Fuoco".
Through this trip, the Esn volunteers sought to promote the naturalistic, landscape, food and wine and historical culture of the Aeolian archipelago, Sicily and Southern Italy, also becoming an important opportunity for the territory, which, thanks to this and future editions of the trip, will benefit from tourism even in the low season.
The Aeolian Trip has intrigued both the institutions, such as the Municipality of Lipari, whose patronage it obtained, and partners present in Sicily and nationally such as Scialla, Tomarchio and Cottanera, sponsors of the event. An event full of emotions that has already left indelible memories in the hearts of the international students and that the organisers hope to repeat in subsequent years.
