Global warming is a problem that we, as a society, have been facing for many years. If the global situation does not change, it could result in a catastrophe. We must therefore change our habits and do everything we can to improve the situation.
Environment and climate action are now key priorities for the EU, with the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050 - this programme is called the European Green Deal.
The Erasmus+ programme is primarily about mobility. As such, it is also our responsibility - as beneficiaries - to improve the environment and take more environmentally aware actions.
The programme's objectives therefore include demands for green travel and increased awareness in areas closely related to the environment and sustainable development (agriculture, natural resource management, soil protection, bio-agriculture).
Of course, demands alone are not enough and we must do our utmost to turn these ideas into reality. So we have to start changing ourselves and we have to keep an eye on politicians, not only at national level, but also in Europe, to see if they really respect the principles of the Green Deal and do everything to ensure that the future of Europe and the world is green.
