Emergency numbers
112 — Single European Emergency Number
For any emergency requiring police, firefighters or medical assistance. The operator will direct your call to the appropriate emergency service.
115 — Fire Brigade (Vigili del Fuoco)
For fires and other emergencies requiring the Fire Brigade.
118 — Medical Emergency Service
For urgent medical assistance. In case of a medical emergency, you can also call 112, which will connect you to the appropriate service.
113 — Police
The traditional number for the State Police. For emergencies, use 112.
If you have a serious or urgent medical problem, you can go to the Pronto Soccorso (Emergency Room) of a hospital or call 112.

The Emergency Room is open 24/7. Please remember that it is intended for urgent medical conditions. For non-urgent problems, other healthcare services may be more appropriate.
If you need medical attention but your condition is not an emergency, you can contact the Guardia Medica (Continuità Assistenziale). This service provides medical assistance outside your family doctor's normal hours, including at night and on holidays.
